The term "UDH" refers to the SRAM-developed Universal Derailleur Hanger, which aimed to establish a standard hanger design, simplifying the replacement process. This ensures one can replace their hanger at just about any dealer, either locally or on your globe-trotting trip.
SRAM produces a durable co-molded option (pictured on the right below), while Santa Cruz and Juliana models feature our own all-alloy UDH design (shown on the left below), featuring the same reverse threading and torque setting of 25 NM.
