How to Clean Fillmore Valves
Please note that we do not recommend disassembling Fillmore Valves for cleaning.
Materials Needed:
- Isopropyl alcohol
- Small bowl or dish
- Compressed air - ideally from a motorized compressor; if not available, a can of air used for electronics cleaning should do the trick.
Instructions:
- Remove the Fillmore valve from the rim.
- Place Fillmore valve into the container.
- Pour the isopropyl alcohol into your container or dish, making sure the valve is completely submerged.
- Allow the valve to soak overnight.
- Remove the valve and use compressed air to blast out anything that remains inside.
- Reinstall the Fillmore Valve onto the rim.
If this procedure does not work, please visit the Reserve warranty page to file a claim (we will need to see a proof of purchase for your valves, wheelset, or bike to verify original ownership for free replacements).
