How do I remove the headtube badge?

Materials needed:

  • Dental floss
  • Isopropyl alcohol
  • Clean rag

Instructions:

  1. Spray isopropyl alcohol around the edges of the headtube badge to begin saturating the headtube badge adhesive.
  2. Take out a length of dental floss long enough to get a firm grip with each hand. 
  3. Slide the dental floss between the frame and the headtube badge. 
  4. Work the dental floss back and forth in a sawing motion with downward pressure to use the floss to cut through the adhesive affixing the badge to the headtube. 
  5. Once the badge has been successfully removed, use the isopropyl alcohol and the rag to clean off any adhesive residue that remains on the frame.
  6. After the surface of the headtube is clean and dry, apply the new headtube badge, pressing it on firmly for a few seconds to ensure the new badge gets securely fixed in place.
